I met recently with Marty Graves owner of Magnolia Collective who took over (Boutique Thirroul) on the 25th January 2019 rebranded to Magnolia Collective. This business has been trading as a women's boutique for over 13 years in Thirroul.
Business name & how did it come about? I've always loved the magnolia flower, and to me, it epitomises style which is what the boutique is all about :) Collective generally refers to the business incorporating a collection, ie clothes and accessories.
Your background? I have a PA/ Secretarial / Bookkeeping / Admin background, my last job was managing an osteopathic practice in Bondi Junction for over 16 years! I grew up in Melbourne and moved to Sydney 28 years ago. I have 2 boys, 21 and 22 years old. Well, I guess they are men now :)
What inspired you to take-over this business? My husband and I moved to Stanwell Park 2-3 years ago from Sydney, and I had been thinking about moving my life down here completely, ie home and work life eventually. I was waiting for an opportunity to come up and out of the blue one did.
